Will Young plans to take The Grand Tour and Amazon Prime to OFCOM and 'pursue legal action'... after he SLAMS 'homophobic' Jeep segment

  • Pop star Young, 40 - who is gay - was shocked by a 'jokey' segment on The Grand Tour's Colombia Special in which a Jeep Wrangler was test-driven
  • In the scenes, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May claim driving a Jeep means you should wear 'ventilated chaps' and 'moisturise'
  • Young took to Twitter to slam the hosts and Amazon Prime for the 'pathetic' segment - branding the hosts 'repulsive' and 'obtuse, bigoted immature babies'
  • In new tweets, Young says: 'No word from @PrimeVideo so @Ofcom beckons. Is there a legal case? Who knows... watch this space'
  • Will Young has waged war on Amazon Prime's motoring show The Grand Tour for being 'homophobic' in a segment about Jeep Wranglers - and is planning on taking it to Ofcom and pursuing 'a legal case'.
Gay pop star Young, 40, hit out at the show, its producers and its presenters Jeremy Clarkson, 58, Richard Hammond, 49, and James May, 56, for a segment in season 3, episode 3, in which the men claim a Jeep is a 'gay' car.
Having tagged Amazon in a six-tweet rant on Monday night, the singer has evidently not received a response - and so has vowed to go to broadcasting watchdogs next. It's war! Will Young has waged war on Amazon Prime's motoring show The Grand Tour for being 'homophobic' in a segment about Jeep Wranglers - and is planning on taking it to Ofcom

Hours after his original tweets, he posted: 'No word from @PrimeVideo so @Ofcom beckons. Enough is enough and I’m p**sed and fed up.
'I want Amazon Prime and the producers of Grand Tour to meet young LGBT [people] who want to kill themselves because of shaming and laughter and [the] normalising of shaming homophobic narratives.
